Description

Clonmacnoise Celtic High Cross is found in Co. Offaly  The cross of the Scriptures, also known as King Flann’s cross, is the most famous of the Clonmacnoise crosses.  Carved from sandstone it stands 4m tall and dates from c. 9th century.  Scenes depicted include the Crucifixion, the Last Judgement and Christ in the Tomb.
