The story of the Claddagh goes back to the 1600's when the first ring was made in Claddagh on the edge of Galway City. By tradition it is taken to signify the wish that love and friendship should reign supreme. Two hands cradling a crowned heart: The Heart for Love, the Hands for Friendship, the Crown for Loyalty.

The ring is 14k or .585 and is submitted to the Dublin Assay Office under an official Government charter for hallmarking, your guarantee of authenticity and quality.  The princess cut and solitaire shape with and brilliant bands of diamonds has a total diamond weight of 0.40ct, clairity grade SI and colour scale H - I.  This ring is also available in 14k yellow gold.
